This Happened

I only have a few things to say about this. Because really, the pictures speak for themselves.

  • No, we don't have kids. So ya, this doesn't make sense.
  • Costco is an impulse purchase wonderland. But despite appearances, this acquisition isn't nearly as impulsive as it seems.
  • It was on this third subsequent visit to Costco that I partook in my third subsequent session of blissfully toting this life-sized bear down the isles to...
    • A) Grin from ear to ear
    • B) Potentially embarrass Ryan, which is actually surprisingly hard to do.
    • C) Squish a life-sized, plush bear...honestly, it's redundant to even attempt to justify this experience when the experience itself is justification enough.
  • It was Ryan who insisted on us purchasing him in the end. He's happier about the purchase than the picture above let's on. At $33, it was clear it was a bargain. And the joy I had experienced in our short time in Costco was proof enough that $33 would be well spent.
  • Yes, we were the two big meanies in the lineup unfortunately situated behind a sweet little baby girl bawling her eyes out screaming 'bear!, bear!' while her dad attempted repeatedly to soothe the little child who would not be going home with a massive bear that day.
  • No, I did not feel awkward that we were two adults, without children, who would be going home with a massive bear that day.
  • Strapping our new bear, whom we affectionately named Ruprecht (See: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for reference) into our vehicle was a beyond awesome experience.
  • While I realize it won't be long before Ruprecht is eventually sequestered to the basement as we grow tired of him, and then most likely dropped off at Goodwill or given to a little child we know, I must say that so far, Reprecht and my time together has been everything I ever hoped for.
  • On a scale of 1-10, how random is this?
  • O, and just so you know, we also bought some multi-vitamins, garbage bags and golf gloves. So the shopping trip wasn't entirely as juvenile as it might have seemed, what with our cart filled to the brim with plush, fluffy goodness and all.
