San Francisco - Part 4

The last two days we spent in San Francisco were filled with more eating, shopping, walking, exploring and eating. What's new. Once I get in vaycay mode, there's nothing that's going to stand in my way of eating 3 square meals + 3 square snacks + 3 square mini snacks each day. It's a sickness.

But I digress.

On day 3, we started our morning at the iconic Tartine Bakery. It was recommended to us by locals, and wow. Iconic for a reason. Pastry heaven. After that we cabbed over to Haight & Ashbury. Just to say we did. No great pics from that spot except for one blurry one of my face, but trust we were there long enough to gage that we wouldn't have fared well in the 70's. Just not enough hippie in us I guess. From there, we went to our favourite shopping destination while in the continental U.S....Nordstrom Rack. It's a fave of this Canadian couple. And it didn't disappoint. That evening we were fortunate enough to get reservations at Nopa, a restaurant highly recommended by friends and locals alike. A.mazing. If you are in San Francisco, definitely dine at Nopa. It was incredible! And affordable. My kind of yummy food experience.

The fourth and final day of our trip was all about more shopping & exploration. No set schedule or expectations, and it turned out lovely. Below is a photo dump of those last two days. Enjoy :)

One actual picture of us on the warf at Fisherman's Warf.
Yes. We totally snapped this pic in a parkade. Nordstrom Rack means that much to us.
I realize this pic is terrible, but it shows you that we were physically at Haight & Ashbury. So, ya.

And now, some Instagrammy goodness from our trip.

Arriving in San Francisco.
On Alcatraz Island
Oysters @ Hog Island Oyster Co. Seriously Delish.

The beautiful street our hotel was on.
Chilling out in Union Square.
Checking the Giant's schedule in Union Square.
Waiting in line for Tartine.
Baked goodness in Tartine.
Enjoying Tartine. Just as good as everyone said it would be.
Dinner at Nopa. So happy we managed to eat there while in San Fran.

Breakfast on our last day. Happy.
Our lovely hotel.

And that about sums up our trip to San Francisco. It was lovely and has confirmed for me that short, spontaneous vacations where you squeeze every minute out of every day, are truly the best kinds of vacations. They always seem to surprise me, in that their sweetness is never limited or impeded by their duration.

Let's get our retro-artsy-photo-filtering on together.
