Our Home

Even the title speaks volumes to me. to the depths of my decor loving soul, this book speaks to me. I've seen it in Indigo several times now, and each time lingered a little over it. Flipped it's pages, and savoured it's visual delicacy.

Sometimes I find it hard to know what to do with my home. Like how to make it us? ours? I know it takes a lifetime to develop personal style. in all aspects. But sometimes my impatience gets the best of me, and I'm frustrated at my lack of progress in my, however subliminal or intentional, pursuit of perfection.

And then I stumble upon something so visually beautiful, kindred in spirit and encouraging to me and my pursuit of home as reflected through style and decor. And I'm reminded that it takes time. I'm encouraged because it's possible. And I'm refreshed at the thought that my palette is all around me. so is my paint. the act is in simply releasing myself to start making those brushstrokes by continuously nurturing my creativity, savouring beauty around me, and reflecting those intentions onto the way we choose to adorn our home and our life through the lens' of who we are.

all that from a book and a cup of coffee. simple moments can be so sweet.
